Professional Experience
Mr. Reed has over 23 years of experience in hospital administration in proprietary hospital systems and not-for-profit community hospitals. His leadership and consulting experience includes tertiary care and teaching hospitals, single specialty hospitals, and critical access facilities. During Mr. Reed’s hospital administrative career he has held senior executive positions as CEO, as well as Executive Vice President & COO of a two – hospital group, regional referral center.
During his career, Mr. Reed has worked effectively with a variety of hospital boards and leadership teams facilitating the strategic planning process for numerous proprietary and not-for-profit hospitals. In this capacity, Mr. Reed has experience directing the site and facility master planning process including a major campus and hospital replacement project. As a senior healthcare leader, Mr. Reed has demonstrated his expertise in successfully leading organizational transformations and financial turnarounds in a number of different hospital settings during his tenure. In addition, Mr. Reed has extensive experience in physician relations, integration, employment, practice management, needs assessment and recruitment.
Education
Mr. Reed is a graduate of the IUPUI MHA program in Health Administration, and completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing from Indiana State University. He is also an instructor on the Health Administration Faculty at IUPUI.
